Tamworth Writers meet in Tamworth Town Hall, Market Sreet, every Wednesday afternoon from two till four. Our main activity is the reading and discussion of members work. All types of fiction and non-fiction, poetry etc very welcome. We also hold workshops, run competitions, publish an anthology and give readings to outside organisations.

Tamworth Writers Short Story Competition 2001

For stories of up to 1500 words, in any genre except children's. Prizes of £200, £100, and £50. The winning story will be published in the group's next anthology and on its website. In addition each shortlisted entry will receive a free critique from our judge, Crysse Morrison (novelist, short story writer and columnist for Writers News and Writing Magazine). Fee £3 per story. Closing date 30 September 2001.
