I receive several emails daily from people wanting to find a local group but everyone wants something different and I can't tell them without YOUR help! If your circle special for any reason at all. Does it cater for:

Senior citizens only?

Disabled people only - or, can you welcome or offer assistance to disabled people e.g. access, carers, facilities etc.?

Women only?

Gay people only?

Poetry only? (Most commonly asked question.)

One genre only e.g. sci-fi?

Published writers only (therefore, do you stipulate not vanity or self-published)?

Welsh speakers only? Yes I've been asked that half a dozen times.

Under 16s/18s - i.e. young writers and children. This is the second most frequently asked question. Please do let me know if you are a group for children (perhaps you are a school or after school club. Please also let me know if you are an adult writers' circle but have junior members. Hoards of youngsters and parents/teachers have emailed me who want to write seriously as a career and want to go to a group/workshop/writers' holiday camp.

Quite often these people contact several groups in vain because they don't fit in and were too shy to ask the sort of questions I'm asking below. Also most groups (unless literally bursting out of someone's lounge or village hall!) are very keen to have new members.
