Creative Writing Workshop for Fact or Fiction (Course 26)
(Residential or non-residential)
WHAT sort of writer are you? What sort of writer do you dream of becoming? Have you found your writing voice? If you have not written before, do you want to find out what that voice might be?This creative writing workshop uses exercises that enable you to access the conscious and unconscious mind to free the imagination and develop the voice that is uniquely your own. This weekend will include:
• 2 daily writing sessions
• techniques to start writing or develop work-in-progress
• a chance to initiate pieces that lead to more extended works of prose or poetry
• the opportunity to have writing done in the workshop read and discussed (voluntary)
• "Open Mic" evening session for those who wish to share work already written (voluntary)
The workshop will be conducted in a friendly, constructive atmosphere and is open to anyone with a desire to write, from beginners to experienced writers.TO BOOK: A £60 deposit reserves your place. Booking will be confirmed on receipt of your deposit. Payment in full is due by 24 April. Download a brochure for a booking form and information on where to send your cheque.
ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is provided in a purpost-built Guest House. Single rooms are available at no extra charge, but they are limited and early booking is strongly advised.
