The Original Writers' Group meets at Garfield Community Centre, 64 Garfield Rd, London, SW11 5PN every first and third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 till 9:00. There is a small £2 charge per person to cover the cost of the room.

We have about thirty members: some are poets, some are novelists, some are playwrights, some are scriptwriters, some are historians, some are philosophers. It is a rich mix and makes a lively evening. We welcome writers from all walks of life as everyone has a point of view, and the more varied these opinions, the richer the experience.

Please do join us. Even if you are just starting out and are just interested in writing, but don't have anything to read, come along and experience the evening. As sometimes the best motivation to writing is to hear how others got there before you. We have an Original Writer GoogleGroup which we use to keep in touch and post stories. At the end of the day, our ambition is to make these evenings enjoyable and inspirational. Otherwise, what's the point in coming!
