Online scriptwriting course
Cineuropa.org, the European cinema portal, proposes an online scriptwriting course in English, French, Italian and Spanish. The training formula is based on a direct and personalised contact between the participants and the teacher. Participants will therefore be able to read the lessons and communicate privately with the teacher at any moment. Following the first trial lesson, which is available, free of charge, on the website, the course is structured in eight lessons over 14 weeks. These lessons aim to offer participants the essential theoretical and practical notions in scriptwriting, highlighting at the same time the differences between cinema scriptwriting and other creative forms. The follow up with the tutor and the practical aspects provided by the exercises are at the core of the project. There are no deadlines and candidates can apply anytime during the year. CyberScribe Corner
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/CyberScribe_Corner/
A corner in cyberspace for writers and poets from all over Northern Ireland where, in a supportive environment, they can discuss writing, post their work and give and receive feedback, where writers can share and read current information that is of interest and of benefit to them. They can also add and view relevant links to any writer, poet, playwright, publisher, theatre and any writing/poetry organisation from Northern Ireland. New members are encouraged to introduce themselves (hopefully they’ll have a sample of their work to share in the group) mentioning some personal stuff, as well as any publishing credentials they may already have acquired and all the types of writing in which they are involved. This is so the group knows who they are and it gives them an insight into their writing, which will help them to help each other in a more effective way.

Writers Abroad
Writers Abroad is a ‘virtual’ writing group for writers living as expats who may find it difficult to find the opportunities for moral support from fellow writers.
The main aim of Writers Abroad is to create a time and a space to:
•Submit written work for feedback from other members
•Take part in and share writing exercises to stimulate and motivate creativity
•Share tools, tips, advice, resources and market information
•Celebrate successes and relegate rejections!
Writers Abroad is open to writers of all genres, prose and poetry. We are keen to encourage and experiment with all types of writing to develop skills, confidence and a few like minded friends along the way.
The group ‘meets’ twice a month via Windows Live Messaging and a website is currently being created. Members also communicate in between via email. For further information please contact Jo Lamb who lives in Italy at jolamb@writingpad.co.uk
