A compilation of short stories by Michael Acton and Tony McNamara.
Mankind UK and Forgotten People
Tales from the Labyrinth is dedicated to many people Mike and Tony have known over the years and also to those who fight against all odds to gain recognition in the respective causes, such as MANKIND UK, in Newhaven, Sussex, who cater for male survivors of abuse. This is an issue which deserves far more recognition from the Government and society in general.
Also to the FORGOTTEN PEOPLE on the Internet, which deals with adoption, an issue that touches thousands of lives. The search for contact lost through adoption is emotionally draining and often traumatic, sometimes ending in rejection. FP are a group of individuals who provide practical and emotional support for all who are involved in the Adoption Circle and who are facing tremendous obstacles.
Michael Acton
Mike began writing in the early 1980s as a therapy when recovering from a series of traumatic breakdowns. He was lucky enough to win a national short story competition with his first effort. This early success was complemented by having articles published in local magazines and successes in more literary competitions. He is currently working on a second compilation and his first novel.
Tony McNamara
Tony wrote his first short story when he was at school. A very strict English teacher gave him 15 out of 20, which was a miracle from this teacher. This started him on a series of diverse short stories, but this is the first time (in Tales from the Labyrinth) that he has decided to publish any of them. Like all writers, he thinks there is a novel in him somewhere and maybe one day he will get around to starting it, when time permits.
Contributions for a second anthology
Mike and Tony are currently preparing a second anthology and will pay £50 for contributions. Copyright remains with the author.
