Initiated in 2004 by the Saraswati Foundation for the Arts, the Ubud Writers' and Readers' Festival is a wonderful new event on the international literary calendar. The Festival Committee is currently developing the program for 2005 and is soliciting names of potential presenters from publishers, industry professionals and writers of all genres. We are especially interested in attracting writers who have a familiarity with Asia or a multi-cultural focus and whose themes include challenging traditions and cultural identity.
