APRIL 2008
Evening Creative Writing Courses
at the University of Cumbria
Hone your creative writing technique with us and discover the writer within!
The next module in the ‘Becoming a Writer,’ programme begins 22nd April 2008. Your tutor, Eliza Mood, is an experienced and active writer who will nurture your creativity and confidence as you develop your unique writing voice.
Techniques of Writing
University of Cumbria, Lancaster campus
Tuesdays 18.00 – 21.00 for 8 weeks beginning April 22nd 2008
Cost: £75 (or take all three ‘Becoming a Writer’ modules for £150)
In this module we will look at different forms and genres within Creative Writing allowing you to experiment and explore. You will hone your skills and develop your own, unique, writing voice. You do not need to have studied previous modules and may, if you wish, continue by taking the two ‘Becoming a Writer’ sister modules at a later date.
These modules culminate in a Certificate in Creative Writing and also form the core of the first year on the Part Time BA Single Honours Creative Writing, which begins in September 2008. This means you can study ‘Techniques of Writing,’ as a standalone module, one of a three-part programme or as part of a degree.
There are no formal entry requirements for the module; all that is necessary is an enthusiasm for writing!
